Lane Cove Festival @ Sydney Fringe 2026

Made in Lane Cove | 1–30 September 2026

Lane Cove Festival 2026 runs from 1 to 30 September across Lane Cove on Sydney's lower north shore, featuring free open-air markets, live music at The Canopy, the Lane Cove Art Award, and a full Sydney Fringe Festival season at Pottery Lane Performance Space. Now in its 34th year, the festival is presented by Lane Cove Council in partnership with Sydney Fringe Festival.

This one is ours. For a full month, the village comes alive: free family days, open-air markets, live music under the trees, and a packed season of theatre, dance, comedy and cabaret.

What does Made in Lane Cove mean?

Made in Lane Cove is the theme of the 2026 Lane Cove Festival - a celebration of the creativity that already exists in our neighbourhoods. The artists exhibiting at the Art Award live down the road. The makers at the markets craft their wares in local studios, garages and kitchen tables. The performers on stage rehearse in our halls and grew up on our streets.

It's about local pride - showcasing what our community creates. It's about discovery - stumbling on a show, a stall or an artist you never knew was right around the corner. It's about participation because this festival isn't something Council puts on for the community, it's something we make together, with dozens of local groups, artists and businesses bringing it to life. And it's about connection - a month of reasons to run into your neighbours.

Through our partnership with Sydney Fringe Festival, what's made in Lane Cove gets a bigger stage, while the best of the Fringe lands right on our doorstep.
