Burns Bay Reserve Sports field

This project is now complete.

Council contractors will commence Broadleaf Weed and Bindii Spraying in some parks and open spaces from Friday 3 October 2025 and could take up to 3 weeks. This timeframe allows for working with changes in weather. The herbicide to be used for small parks and open spaces will be 'Spearhead Selective Herbicide'.

Notification signs have been put out at the major entrances to the parks. The time of spray will be updated immediately prior to the pesticide application and remain in place until the park is reopened for public use later that day. The public is requested to follow on-site signage and not to use the parks until re-entry is permitted.

We are aware that our open spaces are important places to exercise and are doing our best to minimise the disruption while this annual process is carried out.
