Diamond Python by T. Britton (winner). Lane Cove’s bushland areas support a number of native snake species, including this gorgeous arboreal diamond python.
Tawny Frogmouth family by P. McMillan (winner). Gums ums trees dotted along Stringybark Creek make an excellent place for abundant bird life, especially three cold Tawny Frogmouths!
Leatherjacket in Tambourine Bay by T. Nolan (finalist). 2. A leatherjacket fish inspecting a lost fishing rod under the Sea Scouts' wharf, on the bottom of the bay floor.

Rainbow Lorikeet at Stringybark Reserve by M. Oka (finalist). He found a good one room apartment with a nice view!
Eastern Yellow Robin by T. Britton (finalist). 3. Lane Cove has a thriving population of Eastern Yellow Robins. They’re hard to spot, but you’ll hear them singing to greet the dawn.
Bug at Blackman Park by K. Campbell (finalist). Whilst on a bush walk in Blackman Park I saw an interesting bug.
Lizard on Tree by C. Hofmann (finalist). The base of a mighty sole Blue Gum along Helen Street walkway provides shelter for this little lizard, highlighting how even singular trees are beneficial to wildlife.
Kookaburra at Stringybark Reserve by B. Monsted (finalist). I took my daughters to the playground and we saw this lovely kookaburra. I love how nature is so close to home here.
