Do you like native plants and animals, spending time in the garden or taking photos? If you answered ‘Yes!’ to any of these then why not enter the Backyard Habitat Photo Competition? Simply snap a photo of your wildlife-friendly garden, balcony or courtyard to go in the running to win great prizes, including 1 of 3 beautiful copper bird baths from Mallee Designs and a selection of insect hotels. All ages and experience levels welcome!
Whether you’re a Backyard Habitat participant already or have created a wildlife-friendly garden on your own, we want to see your photos! This competition aims to reward residents contributing to the creation of healthy wildlife corridors, whilst showcasing the beauty of native gardens to the broader community. You don’t have to have a flair for photography or gardening to go in the running, just have a go!
Email your photo to backyardhabitat@lanecove.nsw.gov.au with the Subject “Backyard Habitat Photo Comp” by the closing date of Sunday 8 October 2023 to go in the running. Entrants must reside within Lane Cove LGA and upon submission consent to photos being used by Lane Cove Council for promotional purposes. Winners announced Monday 23 October 2023.
