The NSW Government provides a range of programs and incentives to help residents reduce their energy use and save money.

  • The EV Ready Buildings grants are available for feasibility assessment and infrastructure upgrades in apartment buildings. The grants applications are open until funding is exhausted. There is $10 million available to assist eligible NSW apartments. Grant amounts are up to $80,000.
  • The Low Income Household Rebate helps eligible concession cardholders pay their electricity bills with a $285 rebate per household, and a one-off relief payment of $500.
  • Eligible homeowners can also swap their Low Income Household Rebate for a free, fully installed, 3 kilowatt solar system under the Rebate Swap for Solar Program.
  • Households can also access discounted upgrades to energy efficient lighting, air conditioning, hot water systems, and pool pumps through the Household Energy Saving Upgrades program.
