Rebate amount:

  • House: 25% up to $300
  • Unit (lot): 25% up to $300
  • Business: 25% up to $3,000

Please note that the Sustainability & Electrification Rebates Program has been paused for FY25/26 as we have fully allocated the available funding. Council is currently investigating the availability of additional funds for the program, however no guarantees can be made regarding its re-commencement this financial year. Applicants who have already received pre-approval for a rebate may proceed with their Final Claim Application.

Steps to apply

Step 1.Check the Eligibility Criteria in the Guidelines and Terms and Conditions

The induction cooktop must be installed be a licensed electrician and replace a gas cooktop. Review the full Eligibility Criteria in these Guidelines and the Terms and Conditions for participation in the Electrification Rebates Program.

Step 2.Apply for Pre-Approval Application

Submit the quote for the Electrification Product that you will purchase and a copy of your electricity bill. Once you receive notification of your pre-approval, you can proceed with your purchase, ensuring any required consents, strata or landlord approvals and/or licenses are in place. 

Step 3.Purchase your Product

Ensure that your purchase is as per your pre-approval notification.

Step 4.Submit your Final Claim Application

Submit the required documents, such as an invoice and a photo of your installed Electrification Product.

Step 5.Receive your Electrification Rebate

If your applications are approved, you will receive your rebate via electronic bank transfer. You will receive notification of successful application via email.
