The Lane Cove Live Music Alliance presents International Jazz Day! 

Across The Canopy and The Plaza, enjoy a great line up of amazing jazz artists!

In The Canopy

10:00am - Stringybark Jazz
This Big Band plays all styles of jazz, from swing and blues to Latin and ballads. A well-established 20-piece ensemble, they are part of the Lane Cove Community Band organisation.

11:00am - 2MBS FM

12:00pm - Neville Kaye
Neville Kaye is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter and guitarist. With a jazz background, multiple songwriting awards, and eight albums to his name, he performs widely including with his band, The Songs of Dire Straits.

1:00pm - The Bug Hunters 
This Lane Cove jazz and blues trio features Alex Johnson (vocals/sax/flute), Patrick Lorrimer (bass), and Nigel Spence (sax/flute). Lifelong musicians and members of Lane Cove Community Bands, they bring soulful, vibrant energy to jazz standards and blues classics.

2:00pm - Gustavo Swing

3:00pm - Julia Shved Project
International jazz vocalist Julia Shved brings European charm and technical mastery to her performances. Backed by long-time collaborators, her band delivers rich, emotive jazz at top Sydney venues including The Roosevelt and Foundry 616.

4:00pm - Hot Club Gypsy Swing

5:00pm - Tamis Hunter
Tamis Hunter is a jazz pianist currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium. Influenced by jazz legends like Bud Powell and Bill Evans, he performs regularly across Sydney and brings a fresh and expressive style to his sets.

 

The Plaza

11:00am - Penny Cook
Penny Cook is a Lane Cove local with a lifelong passion for jazz and performance. Inspired by greats like Tony Bennett and Diana Krall, she brings a heartfelt connection to the American Songbook.
