Calling all Artists - Waste to Art Competition (win $100)
This year Sustainability Lane has a Gallery showcase for Waste to Art projects. Do you have small items lying around at home? Buttons that have fallen off? Bottle caps you've been collecting? CD's no longer used? With $100 up for grabs for first place, it's time to put these items to good use. Each artwork submitted will be in the gallery at Sustainability Lane at the Lane Cove Council Sustainability tent. On the day, ALL Sustainability Lane attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite work!
Submit your details to participate in the Waste to Art Competition
What do I need to do?
Source any small bits of waste you have lying around at home to turn it into an artwork. All artworks must be created on an A4 piece of paper, with the intention of these being hung on the wall. We will accept some sculptures; however, these must fit on an A4 sheet of paper and must not exceed 15cm in height.
How do I submit it?
1. Submit your details at the button above so we know to expect your artwork.
2. Once the artwork is finished, bring it down to the front desk at Council Chambers between 4th September and 8th October 2026 during opening hours (9am - 5pm Mon-Fri). Make sure to include your NAME and EMAIL on the back of the artwork so we are able to contact you for the prize.
3. Come to the Council Sustainability Tent at Sustainability Lane on 11th October to vote for your favourite work.
How can I win the $100?
All submitted artworks will be displayed in a 'Gallery' at the Council Sustainability tent in Sustainability Lane. Anyone who visits the gallery will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite artwork. The winner of the competition will be notified via email on Wednesday 14th October.
