Lane Cove Council held its Ordinary Meeting on Thursday, 20 November 2025. A summary of the meeting highlights are included below – please refer to Council minutes for further detail:

Galuwa Recreation Centre – Food, Beverage and Events (FB&E) Operator Endorsed

Council endorsed Lusso Kitchen as the preferred food, beverage and events operator and also considered proposed variations to the Facility Operation and Management lease. As a result, public exhibition will be taking place to vary the GRC Facility Operation and Management lease to 7 + 5 years as well as publicly exhibiting the FB&E Services Operation and Management lease.

Finance and Corporate Reporting – There were five separate reports related to Council’s auditing, finances and integrated planning and reporting framework. This included the presentation of the Audited Annual Financial Statements which were subsequently adopted, together with the Auditors Report, for the year ended 30 June 2025 subject to the receipt of any submissions over the ensuing 7-day period.

Council’s Annual Report for 2024/25 demonstrated achievements such as advancing work on the Bob Campbell Oval Master Plan, completing the Pottery Lane Performance Space, celebrating 70 years of Lane Cove Library and 60 years of Greenwich Library, delivering the innovative Weaving Climate Stories program and receiving recognition through the Local Government NSW Excellence in Environment Awards where Lane Cove took out three Awards, including the prestigious Local Sustainability Award.

Tender for Provision of Legal Services – Council determined the path forward for its provision of suitably qualified and experienced legal firms to appoint to Council’s Legal Services Panel for a period of up to five (5) years.

Upcoming exhibitions - Council resolved to place the Draft Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP) 2025 on public exhibition. The Plan identifies priority projects to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity including upgrades to footpaths, crossings and pedestrian links near schools, centres and transport hubs. Council also endorsed the public exhibition of the Lane Cove’s first Children and Families Strategy. The Strategy outlines key priorities and actions to support children, young people and families in Lane Cove over the coming years. The community consultation for the PAMP and the Children and Families Strategy will both commence in February 2026.
